Fun Eco-Cloth Giveaway on An Island Review

March 11, 2009

I’ve been reading up on E-cloths and I have to say I am intrigued. They require water only to clean your home. The cloths are you need to clean – no sprays, no scrubbers, no sponges etc. just the cloth and some water. They are made of microfiber and the manufacturing process utilizes “technology to split and combine fibers which create millions of tiny scrapers that serve to cut through dust, dirt, grime, oils, grease, bacteria without scratching surfaces.” They are made from a “combination of two fibers, polyester and polyamide (a nylon by-product).” The Polyester is lyophilic which attracts oil and grease, while Polyamide is hydrophilic which attracts water.” They’re fascinating to me because if they work and lots of people say they do, they would cut down on items to buy, store, carry around and use while cleaning. An Island Review is doing a giveaway the Kitchen Pack.

Bu Bye Red Bull, You Can Stop Taking My Money Now

August 25, 2008

Anyone who knows me knows what a caffeine-aholic I’ve been for many years now. So it might be hard to believe but I’m down to a cup of coffee a day and sometimes an afternoon tea. I double bag it. So what. It’s not coffee or Red Bull now is it? I sometimes miss Red Bull, like when I’m cleaning. It was great for that. Down a Red Bull and power clean. Done in minutes. What’s interesting about giving up all the caffeine is I feel like I have as much energy now as when I was drinking $5 in coffee a day. I guess it’s all relative after all. I had a theory that it might be but I wasn’t about to quit while I was in school so now I feel like it’s less of a risk. And it was so worth it!
